ESL & Citizenship Classes

Kensington Baptist Church provides a service to the community by offering free English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) classes in the Spring and Fall of the year to help anyone whose primary language is not English. In the past we have had students from many countries in Latin America and from Korea.

Kensington Baptist Church provides a service to the community by offering free Citizenship classes. This class is for anyone preparing to take the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) naturalization test to become a U.S. Citizen and for anyone interested in learning the basics of American history and government.

The summer 2017 Citizenship classes concluded in August 2017. We are tentatively planning on offering these classes again, starting in May 2018. Please check back on our website in April 2018 for more information.

ESL Classes started in Fall 2017

Classes began instruction on Monday, September 11th. Classes start at 7 pm and will meet most Monday nights. The classes are two hours in length. If you would like to provide a snack, please talk to Barbara DeNoyer. If you would like to put a flyer on a community bulletin board or give a flyer to someone, there are plenty on the table in the vestibule.
